Rhododendron Forests

If you visit in spring (March–April), the forests burst into bloom with, Nepal’s national flower, bright red rhododendrons. These vibrant blooms create a magical backdrop for the trail.

Langtang Valley is home to diverse ethnic groups—Tamang, Gurung, and Sherpa. The Tamang, believed to have migrated from Tibet long ago, are the majority and practice Buddhism. This is reflected in prayer flags, mani walls, and monasteries. Many villages were rebuilt after the devastating 2015 earthquake. Throughout the trek, you’ll see rebuilt homes and meet locals eager to share stories of resilience.
